About Walter

Walter Bwire is the Founder and Managing Partner of TLN Advocates. He is a lawyer, entrepreneur and institution builder with extensive experience in Corporate & Commercial, Banking and Finance, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Real Estate & Land, Mergers and Acquisitions, Regulatory and compliance, Employment & Labour, Technology & Data, and Family & Children.

I lead the firm with a focus on strategic legal advisory and high-value matters. Walter has extensive experience advising and representing clients in complex legal matters, including corporate transactions, real estate and construction disputes, banking and financial claims, directors’ and shareholders’ disputes, minority oppression, contractual disputes, employment matters, family-related matters, and high-stakes civil litigation.

I act for a diverse range of clients including private individuals, corporations, local and international companies, not-for-profit organisations, associations, cooperatives, and investors. I regularly advise property developers, investors, and landowners on transactions such as sale and purchase agreements, commercial and residential leases, joint ventures, share acquisitions, real estate investment structures, and mortgage-related transactions. I also advise on hotel management, property investment, and asset management arrangements.

I’m actively involved in trial and appellate advocacy before the Courts of Judicature in Uganda and advise on complex cross-border transactions and claims.

I also play a key role in advancing the firm’s focus on technology and innovation, consistent with its identity as a Tech Legal Network (TLN).

I’m also passionate about financial inclusion, digital innovation, and entrepreneurship. I’m currently building an infrastructure for digital mobility, commerce, payments, logistics, and SME operating ecosystem for Africa. I believe that technology can democratize access to finance — empowering every entrepreneur, from startups to growth-stage businesses, to build sustainable success.

I’m open to partnerships, investment opportunities, and projects that drive innovation, financial inclusion, and sustainable growth.
